Welcome to the only ice-free port in Northern Sweden

The Umeå port is kept ice-free with the help of the tugboat/icebreaker Kronö and our own mooring vessel Kermit. We are also helped by the currents in the Ume River that keep the port ice-free in a natural way even during the coldest months of winter.
